ABOUT THE STUDIO

THE STUDIO is Innovation Studio’s newest innovation center and meeting and event venue conveniently located in Seaport Place on the 3rd floor of the Seaport East Building in Boston. This nonprofit-operated and small business-powered venue is a creatively designed innovation center offering meeting rooms, conference and event spaces, and private office space for daily, weekly, and monthly rentals. Each space is uniquely designed to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and generate innovative ideas. Through THE STUDIO’s onsite small business incubator, we provide a range of services that will make planning your meeting, conference, or event seamless. 100% of the net proceeds of THE STUDIO are invested in our goal of reducing the racial wealth gap through business ownership and creating a more equitable innovation ecosystem.

AMENITIES

When you rent an office at the monthly rate you become a member of THE STUDIO. Membership at the Studio provides you and your team with a dedicated private office. Each office comes with up to four memberships (six for corner offices) and unlimited access to the facility and all amenities including the use of meeting rooms, common areas, and discounted conference and event space. 

Wifi is available throughout the space. All meeting, conference, and event rooms are equipped with either a projector and screen or monitors for presentations or video conferences. 

In addition to in-room technology smart boards, cords, computer adapters cameras, and microphones are available for use.

Meeting Rooms and Private Offices can be reserved Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm using our online booking system. 

Simply click the booking link, choose your room, check its availability, reserve, and pay. 

Our meeting room pricing is all-inclusive without any hidden charges or fees. Discounts are provided on half-day and full-day rentals

The conference and event spaces are set up based on your specific meeting or event needs.

With over 25 individual meeting rooms and offices, THE STUDIO can easily accommodate events with breakout sessions. Lounge space is available for lunch, cocktails, and networking setups.

The Studio is an all-inclusive meeting and event facility that makes planning and executing easy for all clients. Our team will provide and set up all furniture to your needs and specifications.

Each meeting room has whiteboards or writable walls, as well as markers and erasers. Additional whiteboards or smart whiteboards are available upon request.

Innovation Studio’s mission is based on equity and inclusivity. Therefore, we strive to meet a range of client budgets and support many different diverse food businesses.

We offer our clients two catering options:

Self-Serve: Clients are welcome to bring food and beverages for their meeting or place a delivery order from a local food establishment.  If you need suggestions our team is happy to provide menus and recommendations.

Coordinated Services: Our onsite team is available to coordinate catering for your meeting or event. Coordinated catering is facilitated through our onsite Small Business Incubator, which supports the growth of event businesses owned and operated by diverse entrepreneurs. All our catering companies and food vendors offer a range of cuisines at many price points.

Event coordination, planning, and added services are offered by our trained team and through THE STUDIO’S onsite small business incubator.

The small business incubator is a business growth program for diverse entrepreneurs in the meeting and event industry. Through this program, Innovation Studio provides training and technical assistance to support the growth of small businesses locally owned and operated by entrepreneurs of color, women, veterans, and members of the LGBTGIA community. All incubator businesses are experienced service professionals who are available to provide a range of services.

MEETING ROOMS

THE STUDIO’S  meeting rooms are designed to foster innovation and collaboration. From boardroom-style configurations to brainstorming session setups, your team will find a meeting room to fit your needs. Each room comes with tables and chairs, monitors, and writable surfaces. Smartboards are available on a first-come first serve basis and can be reserved at the time of booking. Our rooms can accommodate individuals and teams of up to 12.  

Room reservations Monday through Friday, 8am- 5pm, can be easily booked through our online reservation system. Simply click on the booking link, check for availability, reserve, and pay online.

Before and after hour meetings and weekend rentals are available via the meeting room request form when made 10 days in advance of your meeting date. Weekend rentals require a 2 hour minimum and an after hour rental fee is added to all bookings. 

This harbor view room for up to 6, provides a relaxed setting to facilitate strategic thinking, creativity, and team collaboration. The meeting room has a circular table, lounge-style chairs, and writeable surfaces.

A corner office-turned-meeting room with harbor views is perfect for your next executive leadership meeting. The CEO Studio offers an 8-person conference table with outlets, leather chairs, and writable surfaces.

A boardroom-style conference room that can accommodate up to 12 guests. The space offers a large square-shaped table with outlets, charging hubs, writable surfaces, and a large screen monitor.

THE STUDIO’s two medium to large conference and event rooms are flexible spaces that can be configured to meet your business needs. They are perfect for trainings, panels, workshops, boardroom-style meetings, business networking, or social events. All spaces are fully equipped with meeting and event room technology including projectors, screens, speakers, and microphones. Our venue provides all furniture and setup as part of your meeting and event package, as well as a complimentary 30-minute setup and breakdown window before and after your rental.

The Event Studio is a 986 sq ft meeting, conference, and event room that overlooks the beautiful Seaport East Wintergarden. It’s equipped with meeting room technology including a projector, screens, speakers, and microphones. The all-inclusive space can be set up in multiple configurations and includes all furniture.

  • Social: standing or standing with high-top tables: 120
  • Theater: rows of standard or chiavari chairs: 80-100
  • Training: 5ft connected training tables and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 30
  • Boardroom: training tables configured in a square and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 40
  • U-shaped: training tables configured in a U-shape and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 30
  • Banquet: 60” round banquet tables with and choice of chairs (standard or chiavari): 60

The Training Studio is an 800 sq ft meeting and conference room that is ideal for boardroom-style meetings, training sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats. This interior room with frosted windows makes this the perfect venue for confidential conversations.  It’s equipped with meeting room technology including a projector, screen, speakers, and microphones. The all-inclusive space can be set up in multiple configurations and includes all furniture.

  • Theater: rows of standard chairs: 60
  • Training: 5ft connected training tables and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 25
  • Boardroom: Training tables configured in a square and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 25
  • U-shaped: Training tables configured in a U-shape and choice of chairs (conference or standard): 20

THE STUDIO provides guests with multiple lounges and common spaces throughout, which can be utilized as open workspace or rented to maximize an event. Their proximity to the Event Studio makes these spaces ideal for buffet-style catering, networking, or cocktail receptions.

With over 25 individual meeting rooms and offices that can accommodate between 6 -12 guests, THE STUDIO is the perfect venue for small breakout or work sessions. Breakout rooms can be booked ahead of time through one of our team members (preferred to ensure availability) or on the day of your rental using our online guest booking system.

Monthly office rentals provide you and your team with a full-access membership to THE STUDIO. Each office comes with up to four memberships (6 with a corner office membership), which includes unlimited access to the facility and all amenities. 

Additional memberships can be purchased for team members at a rate of $100 per person. Offices are equipped with up to three (Four for corner offices) sit-stand desks, office chairs, and lockable cabinets. Additional desks, chairs cabinets can be rented monthly for a small fee.
