Innovation Studio was the manager and operator of District Hall Boston from 2013 to 2023. District Hall was a 8,000 8,000-square-foot innovation center developed by a public private partnership to inspire innovation and drive economic development in the Boston Seaport. As the manger and operator Innovation Studio facilitated event rentals and corporate meetings, engage the community by hosting events and gatherings and drove innovation, entrepreneurship and small business development with our program offerings.

AN UPDATE FROM INNOVATION STUDIO

December 22, 2023

Dear Friends,

Today marks Innovation Studio’s final day as the manager of District Hall Boston. As we close out this chapter, I would like to take a moment to thank our partners, clients, program attendees and supporters for your help in making the last 10 years remarkable. I would also like to recognize our partners the Boston Planning and Development Authority, Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), the Briar Group and WS Development whose vision and commitment made District Hall into a cornerstone of innovation.

Since 2013, Innovation Studio hosted over 8000 meetings and events welcoming 386,000 attendees and donated $7M in room rentals to bring innovation, entrepreneurship, and business development to the Seaport. District Hall not only brought opportunities to the Seaport, but also supported Innovation Studio’s mission to make innovation inclusive to all. Our continuum of entrepreneurship and small business programs and resources has supported over 10,000 through events and aided in the development of over 500 Greater Boston based business ventures, of which, 78% are entrepreneurs of color and 61% women.

While we will no longer manage District Hall Boston, our team will continue to serve the innovation, entrepreneur, and small business community.
